Delvis is one of the youngest artisans in the group. She divides her time between knitting and studying. She learned to weave in her adolescence, during her “Encierro”, ritual through which a girl becomes a woman and learns to behave as such according to Wayuu traditions.

The closure of Delvis was short, as it is for almost all the natives of this generation. At first, Delvis was not very attracted to maintaining her artisan culture, but the Waré Crafts business model has returned her interest to traditions. She likes to knit with her sisters, because they chat and make her laugh. She does not have children yet, but with the money she earns she helps to pay for her studies and to spoil her nieces and nephews.
