paulo

In 2020 Paulo López Salgado became part of our designer team and is currently working on his first Collection. Tubular bags of 30 cm tall thought out to be practical for men but we are sure women will fall in love with them too. Paulo was born in the beautiful city of Cartagena de Indias but has lived with his family in Barranquilla for the last 20 years. He is a true “costeño” that describes himself as a musician and a painter as part of his essence.

He studied Mechanical Engineering at Los Andes University and has received training in plastic arts by working beside Marcel Lombana and Manuel Bustos. He began to draw when he was three and his mother was his first teacher and motive of inspiration. She taught him how to observe and embrace a scene in common life and turn it into painting. The human figure, the projection of light, and daily life scenes are his motivation . He is a storyteller and his art is his vehicle. We will appreciate this in his mochila designs, he will try to challenge sequences to propose figures appropriate for an urban style.
