Jesica is from the Community of Zahíno, in La Guajira. She is a single mother and belongs to a new generation of Wayúu indigenous women. She is into new technologies and social networks, as deep attached to her ancestral traditions.

Jesica loves to learn about everything and is always willing to do everything as well as possible.

Her grandmother Graciela Epiayú, another artisan of our team, has taught her to weave. She has specialized in making laces and tassels in an impeccable way, despite having learned very recently.

For Jesica, knitting with Waré Crafts is different, because she feels that she is weaving a work of art, where she values what she does and that is why each of her “Mochilas” are made with a lot of dedication and love.
