Candelaria is a mother of two and the head of household. She is undoubtedly a cheerful, dynamic artisan, and is recognized by all as the one who makes the best coffee.  She is a teacher and has decided to dedicate herself to making crafts to build a future for her and her children. At a young age she was identified as the “know it all” and is in charge of teaching the children and young people of her community the knitting techniques of backpacks and hammocks.

She learned to knit alone by seeing others. She had stopped knitting for a while because she didn’t feel her work got valued enough but resumed thanks to the business model of Waré Crafts where she feels that her passion has become her job.

At first, as she tells us, she had a hard time understanding how the geometric patterns designed by Patricia Quevedo would be achieved, but now it seems extremely easy.
