Community San Martín - High Guajira
She is the mother of 3 and learned to knit when she was 14, when her mother and other women in the community taught her. She enjoys knitting because she relaxes and can organize her ideas.
She told us that she works very hard to send her children to a good school, so they can have better opportunities in life.
There is not part of the “Mochila” that she enjoy doing more than the other. She loves to do the whole part of the “Mochila” equally. In addition, she wants to become an expert in weaving techniques in order to teach other women in her community because she feels responsible for transmitting her traditions and cultural heritage to the new generations of Wayuu indigenous people
